Malir Development Authority Allocates Rs 8123 million For Development Schemes
Karachi: Administrator/DCO Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed has directed officers of Malir Development Authority to leave no stone unturned in the timely completion of development schemes. In order to make good quality construction projects all resources should be used in an effective way, He said while chairing the meeting of MDA in Camp Office.
Earlier he was given a briefing, in which the Administrator was informed that ongoing and new schemes of Malir Development Authority will have an estimated cost of Rs8123million and the MDA has set aside Rs504million for development works in Shah Latif Town, Rs.3586million for development works in Taiser Town and Rs1238million for uplift works of New Malir Housing Scheme.
The meeting was attended by Director General MDA Dr. Ata Muhammad Panhor, Secretary MDA Shahabuddin Sabir and other officers.
During the briefing it was further informed that the authority makes its expenditures through self financing as its major source of income is from the sales of plots.
Presently 70 percent development works in Shah Latif Town, Taiser Town and New Malir Housing Scheme were completed which includes the projects of water and sewerage, parks, roads and green belts.
Regarding future projects, the meeting was told that MDA was planning on allocating various categories plots in Schme-45 Taiser Town and New Malir Housing Scheme for low income class while plots measuring 80.120 and 400 sq yds will also be set aside in Taiser Town and New Malir Housing Scheme for government employees.
MDA was also launching a scheme named Gulshan-e-Benazir in Deh Ghuggar Dhabeeji which will also have residential and commercial plots. Besides MDA has also planned a project for construction of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto General Hospital which would have all the modern medical treatment facilities.
