3-year-old falls to death from 11th floor in Sharjah
Abu Dhabi, (IINA) – Sharjah Police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old Saudi girl who fell from a window of her house on the 11th floor of a high-rise building, Khaleej Times reported.
The girl, identified as Ghadeer Y.S, was found dead when a team of police, patrol, forensic experts, and ambulance rushed to the site. The body was shifted to a forensic laboratory to determine the cause of death.
The girl’s parents were taken into custody for interrogation, to determine whether the accident was due to negligence on their part or not.
According to police, the girl climbed the window when her mother was busy in the kitchen, and the father was not at home.
Police have launched intensified awareness campaigns to educate the parents about the negligence of children, which could lead to serious injuries, even their deaths.
It urged parents of ensuring the safety of their children at home and not to depend on maids, by locking up doors of balconies and securing windows and remove all objects near windows and balconies that could be used by children to climb on.
