Japan’s Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Writes a Letter to Prime Minister
Islamabad: Mr. Tatsuo Kawabata, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for Pakistan’s support to the re-election of Mr. Toshiyuki Yamada as the Secretary General of Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT). The re-election took place at the 12th session of the General Assembly in Jeju Islam, Republic of Korea, from 16 to 18 November 2011.
Mr. Tatsuo Kawabata, in a letter to the Prime Minister, hoped that re-election of Mr. Yamada would further make APT organization more credible through its effective management. He said that the new Secretary General would enhance the beneficial development of ICT in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Japanese Minister expressed the hope that government of Japan looked forward to cooperating with Pakistan in achieving mutually beneficial objectives.
