Japan information and Culture Centre commemorate 2nd anniversary of Japan Earthquake

Islamabad, March 11, 2013 (PPI-OT): Japan information and Culture Center has commemorated the 2nd anniversary of “the Great East Japan Earthquake”. The Consul General of Japan, Mr. Akira Ouchi address the gathering and said that two years back when Japan was struck by this tragedy the Japanese people had to face a lot of problem, still we regained our strength and now our country is once again in the road to success. And the people of Japan are leading happy and peaceful life. “Today’s Japan” is strong and sturdy”

Mr. Muzaffar Ali Shujra, Minister for Development the event was attended by diplomats, media people and other dignitaries. A moment of silent was observed for all the precious lives that were lost in the Tsunami.

This week is being celebrated as “Japan Week” where Japanese cultural activities will be held three days from March 12 to 14, 2013. Namely Ikebana Demonstration, Japan Film Festival and Origami Workshop. “Japan Week” is intended to promote awareness about Japan and such activities will further contribute to strengthen our mutual ties.
