India cannot subdue Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments: Al-Moosvi
Srinagar, March 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has said that India cannot subdue the freedom sentiments of Kashmiri people through arrests, detentions, curfew, restrictions, crackdowns and other repressive measures.
Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, who is under house arrest at his residence in Badgam, in a telephonic media interview said that the puppet authorities were committing the worst kind of cruelties in the territory to appease their masters in New Delhi.
He condemned the continued detention of senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and his shifting to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu after booking him under draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA).
He urged India to stop human rights violations in the occupied territory and settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations so that permanent peace could be established in the region. He also reiterated the demand for return of mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru from Delhi’s Tihar jail to Kashmir.
