Bank Alfalah Signs deal with Pakistan Air Force for the Launch of Car Ijarah Scheme

Karachi, March 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): Bank Alfalah’s Islamic Banking Group, which has recently achieved the centennial branch milestone for its Islamic Banking branches, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for the launch of the Car Ijarah Product Scheme in order to better serve the personnel of PAF. This unique offering by the Bank provides highly attractive terms to the PAF personnel in accordance with Shariah guidelines.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Air Force Head Quarters in Islamabad and was attended by DCAS (Admin) Air Marshal Muhammad Hassan and other senior officers of the Pakistan Air Force as well as by Bank Alfalah. During the ceremony the importance and need for such partnerships in the future was emphasized in order to provide value-added benefits and financial solutions to the officers of the Pakistan Air Force.

Speaking at the occasion, Bank Alfalah’s Islamic Banking Head Rizwan Ata said “We are proud to be signing this MoU with the Pakistan Air Force. This is a break-through achievement for Bank Alfalah’s Islamic Banking Group and I wish to take this opportunity to commend the efforts of our team for fully exploring and tapping into the potential of the Car Ijarah for Air Force Officers.

This is the inception of a new relationship and we are optimistic that this will go a long way in strengthening relations between the Pakistan Air Force and Bank Alfalah. We also wish to express our gratitude to the Air Chief for giving an opportunity to the Bank to provide quality services to PAF’s personnel and assure them of our maximum support in order to further enhance this relationship in the years to come.”
