Srinagar, March 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has urged India to hold talks with Hurriyet leadership to find out settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

The APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina in a statement said that pro-India politicians of the occupied territory were misleading the Indian government about the problems being faced by people of Kashmir.

Raina said that meaningful consultations should be carried out with the people who have genuine problems.

It is important that New Delhi enters into a meaningful dialogue with Hurriyet leaders so that some solution is found out to the Kashmir issue, he emphasised. “It is no fun to talk to people who are already affiliated to the Union of India,” said Raina.

He lamented that despite reminders the authorities had failed to allay the grievances of the Kashmiris.

There is no end to the miseries and sufferings of the people but still then it does not make any difference for those who are at the helm of the affairs, he deplored. “No solution has been propounded for the problems being faced by them and this speaks volumes of the negligence and discrimination from the government,” said Raina.

He said that the Indian government dumped the report submitted by the team of interlocutors. He demanded that serious thought should be put in by New Delhi vis-à-vis the proposals put forward by the interlocutors for fulfilling the broader aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
