Quran Khawani held at Pakistan Air Force Bases for M M Alam
Islamabad, March 22, 2013 (PPI-OT): Quran Khawani was held at Central Mosque Air Headquarters, Islamabad and Mosques of all PAF Air Bases for the departed soul of Air Commodore (Retired) Muhammad Mahmood Alam. Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was also present on the occasion. All personnel of PAF, and the family and friends of the late legend attended the Quran Khawani.
M M Alam belonged to a rare breed of gallant air warriors who kept our sacred motherland out of the harms way. His feats of valour thwarted the evil designs of our enemy and entirely changed the complexion of the 1965 war.
The late war veteran was an icon, whose strength of character, and conviction personified plain living and high thinking. The nation owes a lot to this flamboyant soul and cherishes his unforgettable saga of bravery and selfless devotion. He was a role model not only for the PAF airmen but also for the Muslims across the world.
National heroes like Air Commodore (Retd) M M Alam are the beacons of light that show the way of courage, passion, patriotism and devotion to succeeding generations. His life and achievements will always make us proud as a nation, and he will live in our hearts forever.
