Students should adopt habit of book reading in order to gain success in their practical life

Islamabad, March 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): Students should adopt the habit of book reading in order to gain success in their practical life. POF administration is striving its best to provide best platform to the youth in achieving the knowledge and it is the moral obligation of the youths to give preference to the book in their life. We shall have to revive this lost tradition and persuade the public especially youths to spend maximum time in book reading.

These views were expressed by Lt Gen Muhammad Ahsan Mahmood, Chairman POF Board while addressing a colorful ceremony held at POF Central Library after the inauguration of Mobile Library, Iqbal Corner, Itfaal Corner and Book Fair.

POF Chairman further remarked that we shall have to revive that fundamental theory on which the foundation of Pakistan was laid and should keep abreast the youths about the thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. It is the need of hour to seek guidance from the thoughts of Allama Iqbal.

Prof. Fateh Muhammad Malik Ex-Rector International Islamic university Islamabad who was the Chief Guest on this occasion remarked that Wah Cantt has become the center of social, literary and educational activities and seeing such activities in the city, it is felt that POF administration is following the thoughts of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam in its true letter and spirits. He further remarked that beside producing arms and ammunition, POF administration seems to promote firmness in the thoughts of youths.

In his welcoming remarks Mr. Munir Mohsin Syed, told that Iqbal Corner and Itfaal Corner for kids have been setup at library which will help understand the thoughts of Allama Muhammad Iqbal to the youths and children.

Book Fair has been organized which will continue upto 25th March’2013 where books will be available on discounted rates. Moreover, a Mobile Library has been inaugurated which will station in each school of the city every day where students will be able to read books according to their choice.

People belonging to all walks of life including heads of all educational institutes of Wah Cantt, representatives of social and literary organizations and a large number of students participated in the ceremony.
