Housing Ministry constitutes Vigilance and Monitoring Cell
Islamabad, March 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): Ministry of Housing has issued a notification, today, regarding establishment of a ‘Vigilance and Monitoring Cell’ for the government accommodations under the control of the Estate Office.
The monitoring cell has been formed in order to comply with the Supreme Court orders. The Cell will consist of 20 teams of officers of BPS-17 and BPS-18 who will conduct surveys of all government accommodations and would present Daily Survey Report (D.S.R) to Joint Secretary Ms. Amina Imran, who will supervise functioning of the cell.
The survey teams are tasked to verify if the residents of the government accommodation are legal occupants or not? The residents will have to fill in the survey forms and the information will be verified with the already present record in the Estate office and the Ministry.
This vigilance and monitoring cell would remain open and operative around the clock. The survey teams have been directed to accomplish the assigned task of verifying legal occupants in government accommodations within 10 days.
Joint Secretary, Amna Imran, will herself directly monitor the survey operation to ensure transparency and impartiality.
