Chairman Capital Development Authority will operate on 4 point agenda for betterment of the Authority
Islamabad, August 05 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Nadeem Hassan Asif has presented his Strategy Vision Paper encompassing four implementation priorities for enhancing the performance of the authority as a real development authority. The Strategy Vision Paper is aimed at restoring the credibility of the Authority, public welfare projects, enhancing organizational capacity and strengthening the financial health of authority.
He presented strategy vision paper while chairing a meeting held here at CDA Headquarters on Sunday. On this occasion Members of the CDA Board were also present.
The priorities of Strategy Vision Paper would cover a comprehensive development plan, compiled in the light of past experiences, observation and discussion.
Chairman CDA has asked all Board Members of CDA to submit their suggestions and recommendations within two days on Strategy Vision Paper in order to achieve the desired targets.
In order to ensure the responsiveness to new opportunities and challenges, the Chairman CDA said that the Strategy Vision Paper will be revisited on regular basis.
He said that the Strategy Vision Paper would be used in aligning all municipal and planning decisions, continuous monitoring and evaluation would be done to achieve desired outcomes and good governance, transparency and accountability.
He said that CDA is a civic agency, which is responsible for provision of quality services, redressal of grievances, development of the city by proper planning and all this could be achieved by implementing the salient features of the Strategy Vision Paper.
He said that in order to restore credibility of CDA, completion of ongoing and incomplete infrastructure development projects would be the main focus. He said that public welfare projects would be completed within the stipulated time. He said that the authority would also give focus to improve the entire working environment and personal development of employees with better and improved facilities.
Chairman CDA said, “we would also enhance the organizational capacity by aligning legal, financial and technological framework of the authority with challenging and changing economic conditions.” To bring financial strengthening and sustainability to the authority, the Chairman CDA said that new and innovative projects would be introduced to generate continuous stream of revenues to meet development and operational needs of CDA.
He said that according to this strategy vision paper early completion of delayed residential projects like Park Enclave, Sector I-15, Margalla Retreat would be ensured. He said that service delivery system would be improved by introducing public welfare projects like Buss Rapid Transit, provision of better sewerage and water facilities, modern solid waste management system, workable rehabilitation plan for effectees of Islamabad, better medical facilities, up-gradation of 1122 service, provision of recreational projects, computerization of CDA land and DMA record, strengthening of Enforcement and building control wings, formulation and implementation of new and comprehensive HR policy, construction of public Parks and roads. He further said that projects like sector I-12, Sector F-12, Margalla Triangle, issuance of Bonds would also be dealt on priority basis.
He said that formation of CDA Subsidiary Company, development of new sectors and identification of new and innovative projects would be among the priorities in order to provide quality life standards to the residents of the Federal Capital.
