Srinagar, September 01, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the residents of Churanda in Uri area of Baramulla district have said that the Indian army is not allowing the local administration to construct a road. The locals told media that construction of nine-kilometre link road, connecting at least 260 families from the village to the neighbouring Uri town was approved few years ago. “The construction work on the road was started,” said village head, Lal Din Ahmad. “Without any reason, the Indian troops deployed in a local unit asked the workers to stop the work,” he added. He said that the villagers approached the concerned civil authorities in this regard but to no avail.
