Karachi Metropolitan Corporation pays special attention on improvement of basic infrastructure
Karachi, September 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): Administrator Karachi Sajjad Hussain Abbasi said KMC has focused the patch working on roads and carpeting work besides correcting the sewerage system in the city and citizens would very soon feel a positive change in this connection. KMC, KW and SB and DMCs were making joint efforts for solution of basic problems of citizens. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation called on him in his office along with Mr. Akhtar Jadoon- the special assistant of chief minister Sindh for local government.
D.G Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Senior KWSB officer Misbahuddin Farid and other officers form KMC and water board were also present on this occasion. During the meeting Mr. Akhter Jadoon apprised Administrator Karachi about the problems facing by his district specially those related to water supply, construction of Massan Road and boundary wall of graveyard and street lights.
Referring to clear instructions of chief minister and the minister for local government on the provision of civic problems to citizens, Administrator Sajjad Hussain Abbasi said all concerned organizations could solve the basic problems with their joint efforts.
He said KMC preparing the PC-1 for reconstruction of Massan Road in Keamari whereas construction of boundary wall of graveyard will also be started soon. He said work on the correction of sewerage system in the area was also initiated with the coordination of KWSB as any efforts to improve the road infrastructure by doing path working and carpeting would not prove productive without correcting the sewerage system.
