President urges Pakistani envoys to make sustained efforts for strengthening Pakistan’s relations in all fields including trade, economy and culture with Nigeria, Hungary and Kyrgyz Republic

Islamabad, September 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the Pakistani envoys to make sustained efforts for strengthening Pakistan’s relations in all fields including trade, economy and culture with Nigeria, Hungary and Kyrgyz Republic. The President said this while talking to Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Nigeria and Ambassadors’-designate to Hungary and Kyrgyz Republic who called on him separately at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday.

Talking to Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Lt Gen (Retd) Agha Muhammad Umer Farooq, President Mamnoon Hussain called for concerted efforts to further enhance bilateral trade between Pakistan and Nigeria to realize its true potential. The President stressed on promoting investment in mutually beneficial joint ventures between Pakistani private sector and their Nigerian counterparts. The President advised the Pakistani High Commissioner to encourage participation of Nigerian delegations in EXPO-Pakistan and IDEAS-2016 to further boost bilateral cooperation in the trade and defence sectors.

In a meeting with Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Hungary, Mr. Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, the President said that Pakistan offers immense investment opportunities in diverse areas especially renewable energy, communication and infrastructure adding that the Ambassador-designate should highlight Pakistan’s friendly investment policy to attract potential Hungarian investors citing the success story of the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL in Pakistan.

President Mamnoon Hussain, during a meeting with ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Kyrgyz Republic, Qazi Habib-ur-Rehman, called for taking effective measures to enhance bilateral trade to realize the actual potential that exists between the two countries in textile, cotton products, pharmaceuticals, food items, engineering equipment, machinery and construction sectors.

The President emphasized the need for increased exchange of cultural, parliamentary and business delegations between the two countries to further strengthen bilateral relations. The President congratulated ambassadors’-designate on their new appointment and wished them success in discharge of their responsibilities.
