World Health Organization experts meet Sindh Chief Secretary
Karachi, September 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon has assured the W.H.O. Experts on Polio Eradication Programme that all out efforts were being made for achieving the targets of Polio Eradication Programme in Sindh leading towards the goal of making Polio free Pakistan.
He was exchanging views with Dr. Jean Marc Olive- the Chairman, Technical Advisory Group for Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI), who met C.S. Sindh, in his office on Tuesday. Secretary Health Sindh Saeed Mangnijo, Provincial Coordinator PEI, Dr. Usman Chachar, WHO Consultant Tom Grim, and others from both sides, were present.
They discussed various issues including monitoring, coordination, security and transportation etc. The C.S. informed that Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners had been advised to extend their full cooperation and coordination for safety and security to the Polio Eradication teams.
The WHO delegates expressed satisfaction over the arrangements to facilitate the Anti Polio Mission. Siddique Memon pointed out that the officers of District Management including the Deputy Commissioners have been intimated that their performance in PEI would be assessed in their Annual Confidential Reports.
