Punjab University Vice-Chancellor lays foundation stone of J-type residences for employees
Lahore: Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran laid the foundation stone of construction work of J-type triple-storey residences for the varsity employees here at New Campus on Friday.
Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Akhtar, Principal College of Information Technology Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Chairman Physics Department Prof Dr Shaukat Ali, Director Planning and Development Tariq Majeed Qureshi, Chief Engineer Sheikh Muhammad Ali, University Engineer Col. Mir Pervez Khurshid, Resident Officer-II Malik Muhammad Zaheer and other administrative officials were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, VC Dr Mujahid Kamran instructed for the earliest completion of the construction work. He also issued instructions to the concerned officials to plant maximum saplings to keep the environment green.
Earlier, Col. Pervez Khurshid gave a detailed briefing about the construction project. He informed that the project, comprising 12 houses in two blocks, would cost Rs 22.88 million and each flat would comprise of a living room, bath, kitchen, store and lobby.
