Islamabad, May 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Umar Ata Bandial says all citizens have equal rights in Pakistan. Addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Sunday, he said the constitution of Pakistan is guarantor of the rights of minorities and they are enjoying complete religious freedom in the country. The Chief Justice said it is our basic responsibility to protect the constitution. He said education is only way to achieve development of country.

Islamabad, May 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Afghanistan has appreciated Pakistan’s traditional support for Afghan people and acknowledged the important role that Pakistan continues to play in facilitating peace and development. This was stated by Acting Afghan Minister for Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi while talking to Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir during meeting at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Sunday.

According to ISPR, they discussed issues of mutual interest including aspects related to regional security, border management, and formalization of bilateral security mechanisms for improvement in the current security environment.

The Army Chief stressed the need for enhanced cooperation between the two brotherly neighbours to effectively tackle the common challenges of terrorism and extremism. He reiterated the need for full support and commitment from the Afghan Interim Government in matters of mutual interest.

Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Muttaqi expressed his desire to work closely with Pakistan to promote regional stability and prosperity. Both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining regular contacts to strengthen bilateral ties and address issues of common concern. The COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to a stable, peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan.

Islamabad, May 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Minister for Planning and Development has said PTI Chairman Imran Niazi not damaged economy of the country but also introduced intolerance in the society. In a tweet on Sunday, he said Imran Niazi used religion card and religious touch for his political interests which produced results in the form of Mardan incident. The Planning Minister said it was the same religion card which led to assassination attempt on him.

Islamabad, April 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah has said that the PML-N led government has executed historic development projects in communication, health and education sectors across the country. Addressing a press conference in Faisalabad on Sunday, he said that the people reposed their trust in the PML(N) due to development and prosperity. He vowed not to forget those leaders who stood with the party in the hour of difficulty.

He said that elections will not be held on May 14 despite of all pressure being asserted by the opposition; rather the elections will take place simultaneously on its time this year. He, however, advised the workers of the PML-N to continue election campaign and preparations. The Minister said no development project was started during the tenure of PTI.

He said that Imran Khan signed agreement with the IMF under very tough terms and conditions. He said that survival of Pakistan is intact just because of its nuclear capability, which was attained during tenure of Mian Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister.

Chairing a meeting to review the ongoing development projects of Punjab in Lahore on Sunday, the Prime Minister expressed dismay that previous PTI government deliberately stopped Punjab’s journey to progress.

He directed authorities concerned to expedite the work on development projects in Punjab, started by PML-N government during its previous tenure. Highlighting the bad governance of PTI, Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab was ruled by an incompetent Chief Minister for four years. He said that several public welfare projects remained suspended during former PTI rule. He directed to complete all those suspended projects at the earliest.

The meeting was briefed regarding Imamia Colony Flyover project. The Prime Minister directed to complete the project for public use at the earliest. The meeting was also told about a proposed project to build a Lahore Sialkot Motorway Link Road to facilitate citizens of Gujranwala. The Prime Minister directed to form a three-member Committee which will brief about the proposed project during the next meeting.
