Islamabad, November 23, 2015 (PPI-OT): Federal Secretary Communications and National Highway Authority’s Chairman Shahid Ashraf Tarar has reiterated the resolve to continue construction of world-class roads and highways for the progress of the country and has said that Gojra-Shorkot Motorway and Khanewal-Multan Motorway (M-4) signify our engineers’ commitment and expertise in the field.
“The Khanewal-Multan Motorway was not only timely completed but over 4 billion rupees were also saved due to its completion below the estimated cost” the Chairman added. The Chairman expressed these views while presiding over the 256th Executive Board Meeting of NHA, here today.
During the meeting, the Chairman urged the NHA officials to ensure transparency and quality while carrying out the construction process and continue working for the uplift of the communications sector. The meeting accorded approval to the four-lane Faisalabad-Khanewal Motorway Project’s Gojra-Jumani Section and Jumani-Shorkot Section and award for supervisory services of Zhob-Mughalkot (N-50) and Qilla Saifullah-Loralai-Waigam Road on (N-70) with the aid of Asian Development Bank. The meeting also reviewed various other administrative matters pertaining to the functioning of the authority.
