11 youth remanded to police custody in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir a court in Srinagar has remanded 11 youth to police custody and sent a minor to Juvenile Home for participating in recent anti-India demonstrations.

The court of City Munsif, Feroz Ahmad Khan, sent a minor, Aamir Ali Hakeem, to Juvenile Home Harwan for 10 days after police from Nowhatta Police Station produced him before the court for remand.

After perusing the case history of the minor, the court observed that Aamir was a minor and directed that he should be sent to the custody of superintendent Juvenile Home Harwan for 10 days.

The court also sent four youth, Javid Nazir, Sahil Zahoor, Umar Gulzar Bhat and Sajad Ahmad Mir, to the police remand at Khanyar Police Station and seven other youth to police custody at Zakura and Maharaj Gunj Police Stations.
