Srinagar, March 30, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, pro-India National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah, has called for opening of all trade and travel routes along the Line of Control to enable people-to-people contact and help revive the lost glory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Farooq Abdullah addressing party workers in Srinagar said, “New Delhi and Islamabad should cooperate for opening all routes like Jammu-Sialkot, Kargil-Skardu, Mirpur-Nowshera and Turtuk-Baltistan.” He said, both the countries will have to sit together to find solution to all issues.

He said National Conference would continue to encourage dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad. “We have always maintained that Kashmir is a political issue that needs a political solution and we will continue to strive for restoration of peace,” he said.

Farooq Abdullah criticized black law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act and said that genocide of Kashmiri youth was committed due to privilege enjoyed by Indian troops under this law. He said that this law caused destruction of villages upon villages in the territory.
