Commander 10 Corps Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal visits rain/ landslide affected areas of Gilgit-Baltistan


Rawalpindi, April 12, 2016 (PPI-OT):Commander 10 Corps Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal visited rain/ landslide affected areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Corps Commander presented donation of five trucks load of food items by Pak Army to Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan.

A high level meeting to overview the losses occurred by recent heavy rains/ landslides and relief activities was also held at Gilgit. Meeting was attended by CM, Governor, Corps Commander, Chief Secretary GB, Commander FCNA and IG Police GB. Issues of food shortage, blockage of important road links including Kara Koram highway and future strategy were also discussed in the meeting. Commander 10 Corps assured full support and cooperation of Pak Army to CM Gilgit-Baltistan and reiterated that Pak Army stands by people of Gilgit-Baltistan in this hour of need.
