Under lining the importance of co-curricular activities Elementary and Secondary Education
Peshawar: Distt. Officer (female) Elementary and Secondary Education Peshawar has said that co-curricular activities play vital role in personality development of youth and such activities promote positive sense of competition among them.
She was addressing as chief guest on eve of annual national songs presentation competition held at GGMS Karimpura, Peshawar. The event was organized by Elementary and Secondary Education female Peshawar as part of Bazm-e- Adab 2011 among the state – run Girls Medial Schools of the district. Farzana Yousuf, District Sports Secretary and Secretary Bazm-e-Adab, Humira were also present on the occasion
The event was participated by groups, comprising students of 25 different schools of the district. The students, who presented various national songs, were wearing dresses depicting culture of the inhabitants of various parts of the country.
The audience enjoyed the melodies songs and appreciated skill and performance of the students. According to results, GGMS Karimpura, Peshawar achieved first position while GGMS Lahori Gate, Peshawar stood 2nd in the competition. Similarly, GGMS Shaheen Muslim Town, Gulbahar No.4 Peshawar got 3rd position in the competition.
The chief guest. DO Female Peshawar, Mrs. Rabia Amees, distributed prizes among the winners of the competition. Speaking on the occasion ,the chief guest appreciated organizers of the girls’ middle schools for making the competition a success despite non favourable conditions. She also lauded students for their excellent demonstration, keen interest and well preparation.
