12 outlaws arrested; 348 wine bottles and narcotics seized
Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 12 persons for their alleged involvement in criminal activities and recovered 348 wine bottles, narcotics and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Station House Officer of Aabpara police station Muhammad Hussain Lasi along with his police team nabbed four persons identified as Shafique Maseeh, Shehzad Maseeh, Muhammad Boota, Tahir Maseeh and recovered 155 gram heroin and a total of 15 wine bottles from them.
Shalimar police arrested three persons Ishtiaq Ahmed, Naeem and Noman for having one 30 bore pistol and two daggers while Tarnol police arrested Saleem, Tasawar Iqbal and Ali Khan in possession of 12 bore gun, one 30 bore pistol and 150 gram heroin.
Shehzad town police nabbed Jehangir Khan and Rehman Khan for having one carbine and 120 gram hashish.
On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Arshad Ali signalled to stop a cab (M-8570) near Alipur Lethrar road. Three persons riding the car stopped it but managed to escape from there. Police during the search of this car recovered 333 liquor bottles from the car and have started the search for the absconding persons after registration of case.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of policemen who arrested these criminals and further directed all police officials to intensify patrolling and ensure effective vigilance in their respective areas.
