12 persons arrested: hashish and wine seized
Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Wednesday arrested 12 persons including four gamblers and recovered 35 wine bottles, two kilogram hashish, stake money worth Rs. 8500 from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, SHO Kohsar police station Abid Ikran and his police team raided at a gambling den in sector F-7/4 and arrested four gamblers identified as Mohsin Masih, Shehzad Masih, Dawood Masih and Shamoon Masih. Police also recovered stake money worth Rs. 8,500 from them.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Ali Raza nabbed Imran Masih for having 20 wine bottles while ASI Abdul Qadir from Bahra Kau police apprehended Aashir Masih for having 15 wine bottles .
Sabzi Manid police nabbed Shahida Perveen for having 2. 40 kilogram hashish and Fahad Iqbal for possessing 160 gram hashish. Shalimar police also nabbed four professional alm-seekers.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance against the anti-social elements.
