Russian C’dA meets Russian crew member, expresses gratitude to Pakistan for efforts


Mr. Sergei Sevastianov, the Russian member of the Punjab government’s helicopter crew, who was recovered along with other Pakistani crew members from Afghanistan earlier today, met the Russian Charge d’Affaires at the State Guest House.

The Deputy Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials of the Punjab government received the Russian Charge d’Affaires, who thanked the Government of Pakistan for the efforts in the recovery of their national. Islamabad

Mr. Sergei Sevastianov was part of the six member crew of the Punjab government helicopter that went missing in Afghanistan on 4th August 2016 while on its way to the Russian Federation for maintenance. The helicopter crew was released in an inter-tribe exchange on the Pakistan -Afghan border in FATA.

Israeli Forces Detain Four Palestinians, Summon Another from Southern West Bank

HEBRON, August 13, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Saturday detained four Palestinians and summoned another during raids into Hebron and Bethlehem districts in the southern West Bank, said security sources.

Forces detained three Palestinians after storming and ransacking their houses in Sair town, east of Hebron.

The detainees were identified as Abdul-Hadi Shalalda, Wahid Shalalda and Munadel Shalalda.

Forces also handcuffed and detained Khalil al-Ja’bari, 27, from Hebron city.

Meanwhile, forces summoned a Palestinian during a raid into Bethlehem city.

‘Ala Awwad was handed a notice ordering him to appear before intelligence in the Gush Etzion detention and interrogation center.

This came as ten other Palestinians were detained Saturday overnight during large-scale raids across Jerusalem.
