Team Pakistan celebrates Pakistan’s Independence Day
Lahore, August 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):To mark Pakistan’s Independence Day the Manager of the Pakistan cricket team Intikhab Alam, the Captain Misbah-ul-Haq and senior player and double centurion Younus Khan state how important Pakistan is to them.
“Today we mark the day our country became a sovereign nation in 1947. All the team management and players appreciate the importance of this day and recognise the responsibility of representing our nation on and off the field.” said Intikhab Alam.
Misbah-ul-Haq added: “It is such an honour to play cricket for our country. As we play here in England in the final test match we think of all our supporters in Pakistan. We strive to perform at our best to show our love for our country.”
“I love my country and I know all the players feel as I do. Representing my country is the ultimate achievement in cricket and I always remember that. I dedicate my runs in this test match to the people of Pakistan. The 14th August is such special day and I wish joy and peace to everybody in Pakistan.” said Younus Khan.
