133 colleges in Karachi providing education facilities: Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar

Karachi, August 12, 2016 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Education Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that government is committed to resolve the issues of teachers working at college level and subject wise posting of the teachers will be implemented. This he said while talking to a delegation of Sindh Professors and Lectures Association here in his office on Friday. Office bearers of SPLA Syed Ali Murtaza, Ferozuddin Ahmed Siddiqui and others were also present in the meeting.

He said that it was the prime responsibility of the heads of the educational institutions should not only to focus on the education and training of the students but also to take care of their safety. He added, ‘ It is a matter of pleasure that 133 public sector colleges are providing better education facilities in Karachi and 95 percent students of Karachi gets education in government colleges ‘.

Minister education assured the delegation that government would solve their problems and asked them to focus on the education of the students. Meanwhile the education minister, on the directives of CM Sindh, paid a surprise visit to Sindh Secretariat and checked the attendance of the staff. Provincial ministers Sikandar Shoro and Shamim Mumtaz were also with the minister education.

Principal Government College Commerce and Economics Professor Dr. Razia Khokhar met the minister education in his office and informed him that certain elements were trying to defame the college. The minister for education Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar assured that he would decide the matter on justice after a thorough inquiry and those were found involved in the mess, would be brought to task.
