14 Illegal Gateway Exchanges raided in Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Lahore

Islamabad, December 10, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey trafficking has conducted 14 successful raids in a day in different areas of Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Lahore on December 9, 2014.

According to details, 10 successful raids against the grey operators were carried out along with FIA team at Multan, 2 successful raids were carried out at Bahawalpur, 1 raid at Rawalpindi and 1 raid was carried out at Lahore. 19 persons were arrested and being interrogated by FIA.

The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
