Modi’s policy claims life of CRPF man who survived 5 bullets in IOK
New Delhi, December 12, 2016 (PPI-OT): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, who took five bullets to his chest in an attack in occupied Kashmir’s Baramulla in 1990, and survived, shot himself to death on Saturday morning after failing to withdraw cash from the bank even after repeated visits, his son told media.
According to Rakesh Chand (54), who retired as head constable in 2012, had tried to withdraw the money he needed urgently for his medical treatment from SBI’s Tajganj branch every day, without success. The resident of Budhana village in Agra shot himself with his licensed handgun, his son said.
“My father urgently needed money for the treatment of his heart condition. He used to receive a monthly pension of Rs 15,000, of which he needed Rs 6,000-7,000 for doctor’s visit and medicines,” Sushil Kumar, Chand’s son added.
