16 Proclaimed Offenders and women drug pusher arrested
Islamabad: Islamabad police have nabbed 16 proclaimed offenders involved in crime of heinous nature during the last four days in its special crackdown against outlaws, a police spokesman said here Friday.
Acting Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan assigned the task to all police officials to ensure arrest of proclaimed offenders and inform his office on the daily basis about success in this special crackdown.
He also directed all SDPOs and SHOs to launch massive crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders. In compliance of these directions, all police stations of Islamabad Police started their renewed efforts to arrest outlaws and a total of 16 proclaimed offenders have been apprehended during the last four days.
According to details, Kohsar police station arrested one proclaimed offender, Bhara Kahu police station nabbed one proclaimed offender and one court absconder during this period.
Similarly, Margallah police arrested three proclaimed offenders while Tarnol and Golra police arrested two proclaimed offenders. Shahzad Town police stations apprehended 3court absconders during this period while Nilore police and Koral Police apprehended two court each.
Meanwhile Muhammad Idrees, Sub Inspector of Tarnol police arrested a lady accused namely Shahmila Bibi and recovered 2.400 kilogram hashish from her.
Muhammad Ashraf, Sub Inspector of PS Sihala police arrested an accused namely Raise Khan and recovered 300 gram hashish from him. Women police arrested one accused Sayama Bibi and recovered stolen property amounting Rs.1,50,000 from her.
Tarnol and Golra police stations during search operation in the various areas arrested four suspects. Further investigation is underway from him.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has issued directions to make this campaign further effective as the performance of police stations in-charges would be further reviewed soon in this regard.
He said that no one is above the law and arrest of those being at large after their involvement in crime of heinous nature should be ensured for the safety to the lives and property of the citizens. He warned the police officials that sluggish attitude in this regard would not be tolerated.
