Ramallah (OIC-UNA) The Palestinian factions are scheduled to meet on Tuesday in Egypt’s capital Cairo for reconciliation talks, AFP reported quoting officials from the Palestinian Authority (PA).

An Egyptian-brokered reconciliation agreement was signed between the two rival parties of Hamas and Fatah in Cairo on October 12 ending a decade-long split.

Member of the PA executive committee Ahmed Majdalni said that the meeting, which is planned to take place on November 21, will discuss the content of the 2011 reconciliation agreement that is mainly the security, governance, social reconciliation and freedoms.

The unity government will be different from the one headed by Prime Minister Rami Hamadallah, as it will include all of the Palestinian factions. However, the United States asked for disarming of the Gaza-based Hamas as a condition for joining the Palestinian unity government, but this condition was rejected by both Hamas and the over Palestinian factions.
