Mayor Karachi urge CCIS to ensure timely action on complaints

Karachi, January 01, 2018 (PPI-OT):Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said the Citizens Complaints Information System is an important department of KMC and all received complaints and people have expect that their complaints will be addressed and they will get relief. He said that all the officers of the department must ensure presence of a focal person in the Citizens Complaints Information Centre so that departmental heads could be informed about the complaints about their department and take action for their solution. He said this in a meeting held in his office on Monday which was attended by the municipal commissioner Dr. Asghar Abbas, senior director coordination Masood Alam and other officers.

Mayor Karachi said to the municipal commissioner to issue show cause notice to the officers who did not attend the meeting today and they must be made bound to at tend the meeting otherwise such officers will be suspended. He said the concerned departments must receive the complaints about their department on daily basis and dispatch these to the concerned officers.

He said department heads should also write their remarks on the files submitted to the Mayor office and also implement the directives issued to them. He said we need to ensure team work for solution of public problems. He said people have lot of expectations from 1339 CCIS and therefore the staff deputed here should dispatch the complaints on timely basis to the concerned department.
