Mehbooba resorting to blatant lies: APHC
Srinagar, January 14, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has denounced puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her statement in so-called legislative assembly, saying that negative statements won’t alter the narrative nor can people be misled by this rhetoric.
The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Mehbooba is resorting to blatant lies, and it is her lust for power.” She had also stated that making Kashmir a part of India was the bold and historic decision of Sheikh Abdullah and Hari Singh.
“While refuting the hard realities about Kashmir issue, she is giving wrong interpretations of historical events,” the APHC said, adding: “It is nothing but her deceit to remain in power corridors and as such is tormenting all ethics and historical facts.”
The statement said, “She has no mandate to represent aspirations of people nor is she authorized to decide or say anything about political destiny of Kashmir, the statement is a bundle of lies and quite contrary to basic realities.” “Unauthorized and doubtful accession has proved profitable for Mufti dynasty; however it added miseries and hardships to common people in Jammu and Kashmir”.
While giving details of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir, the APHC said, “Since past seven decades Kashmir is reeling under continuous state of uncertainty and hundreds of thousands of people were killed during this period.” It said that soon as Indian forces landed, Kashmir turned into a battle field and one of the most highly militarized zones.
Referring to suppressive and coercive methods employed by the Indian forces and their henchmen in Kashmir, the APHC said that thousands of people mostly youth disappeared in forces’ custody. It said forces staged fake encounters, arbitrarily arrested and tortured the youth, destroyed property and resorted to arson and plunder. Kashmir is a disputed territory, the APHC said. “India is a signatory to UN resolutions on Kashmir, however they failed to fulfill their commitment,” the statement said.
