Punjab govt decides to launch Punjab CM Special Program to solve problems of Lahore

The Punjab Government has decided to launch the Punjab Chief Minister’s Special Program to solve the problems of Lahore city and provide better facilities to the citizens.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Sadar Usman Buzdar in Lahore today (Saturday).

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the line departments to finalize the program at earliest.

He said on this occasion that members of National and Provincial Assemblies and PTI officials should be taken on board while finalizing the program.

He said that construction and repair work of roads in the provincial metropolis should be carried out on priority basis.

Usman Buzdar directed the authorities concerned to take indiscriminate action against those involved in narcotics trade.

Govt to provide Rs25b subsidy on essential commodities at Utility Stores: Farrukh Habib

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says the government has decided to provide twenty-five billion rupees subsidy on essential commodities at four thousand nine hundred Utility Stores.

Addressing a news conference in Faisalabad on Saturday, he said the government has also decided to computerize Utility Stores and in the first phase, about one thousand Utility Stores will be computerized.

Farrukh Habib said the government will go to any extent to facilitate the masses especially the poor and salaried class.

About Kashmir, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is a true ambassador of the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir as he has bravely highlighted the Kashmir cause at every forum.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting strongly criticized the opposition parties saying that they are weakening the Kashmir cause while ignoring the national interest during their election campaign in Azad Kashmir.

Rs329.02b earmarked for development schemes: Sindh cabinet informed

The Sindh cabinet was informed today (Saturday) that an amount of 329.02 billion rupees has been earmarked for development schemes in the province.

The cabinet, which met in Karachi with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in the chair, reviewed the pace of development.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that six hundred and three development schemes will be completed in first quarter of the current financial year at the cost of over fourteen billion rupees.

He directed cabinet members to pay attention on the timely completion of development schemes.

He said 269 development schemes costing over nineteen billion rupees will be completed in second quarter of the current financial year, while 162 schemes at a cost of over ten billion rupees will be completed in third quarter of the financial year.

Chairman Senate, CM Punjab discuss matters of mutual interest

A delegation led by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore on Saturday.

Matters of mutual interest, political situation and measures for promotion of inter-provincial harmony were discussed during the meeting.

The Chairman Senate appreciated the Chief Minister for presenting the best and people-friendly budget of Punjab for the fiscal year 2021-22.

He also thanked the Punjab Government for extending full cooperation for the development projects of Balochistan.

The Chairman Senate stressed the need for improving coordination between the federation and provinces to ensure development in the country.

On the occasion, Sardar Usman Buzdar briefed Sadiq Sanjrani and the delegation about the development projects being carried out in Punjab.

PM raised plight of Kashmiris at world important forums: Farrukh

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib says leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-N, could not show any performance and development in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to a private television channel, he said the PML-N did nothing for the people of AJK during the period of last five years.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan raised the plight of Kashmiri people at world important forums. The people, he said would vote for candidates of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), in the upcoming elections of AJK due to delivery and performance.

KP PDMA to remain functional during Eid-ul-Azha vacation

The Emergency Operation Center of Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain functional during the Eid-ul-Azha vacations.

In a press release issued in Peshawar today (Saturday), Director General PDMA Sharif Hussain said officials of EOC will be on duty during Eid holidays keeping in view the monsoon season.

DG PDMA said quick response teams have also been deputed in nine sensitive districts who will be in close liaison with PDMA.

The districts include Peshawar, Nowshera, Swat, D I Khan, Abbottabad, Charsadda, Shangla, Dir Upper and Chitral and lower.
