The company said the decision to locate its U.S. Headquarters in Wichita was a logical choice given the site’s deep-rooted history in aviation, the tremendous opportunities for growth in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and defense sectors, and its strong and talented workforce. Bombardier’s footprint in Wichita includes an expanding service centre that supports Bombardier’s entire family of Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets. The site also continues to operate one of the world’s leading flight test centres that performs testing and certification of aircraft upgrades on all new Bombardier aircraft programs, including the ongoing certification campaign for the Challenger 3500 jet.

Sri Lanka expresses satisfaction over court decision in Priyantha’s case

Sri Lanka has expressed satisfaction over the court decision in Priyantha Kumara’s lynching case and appreciated the justice system in Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference along with Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi in Islamabad, Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner Mohan Wijewickrama said Justice prevails in Pakistan.

He said during the entire process of trial and tribulation, the most inspiring thing was that the whole Pakistani nation was on one page and condemning the Sialkot’s sad incident in the strongest terms.

He thanked the government and judiciary for taking the case to a logical conclusion in a short span of time.

The High Commissioner said the government of Sri Lanka is quite satisfied with the court decision and it has further cemented the 75-year old bilateral relations between the two countries.

Tahir Ashrafi, on the occasion, said Pakistan is totally against the culture of intolerance, extremism and terrorism.

China highly appreciates PM Shehbaz’s remarks on Sino-Pakistan relations

China has highly appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s positive remarks on Sino-Pakistan relations and China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Replying to a question during his regular briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Shehbaz Sharif’s remarks fully reflect the Pakistani side’s emphasis on China-Pakistan all-weather friendship and all-round cooperation.

Earlier, addressing the inauguration ceremony of the mass transit bus project in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said China has greatly contributed to strengthening Pakistan’s economy. He expressed gratitude to President Xi for launch of CPEC as a game-changer for Pakistan.

Prime Minister chairs first cabinet meeting in Islamabad

The first cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair is in progress in Islamabad.

The meeting is being briefed about economic condition, energy & law and order situation in the country.

In a tweet, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said the federal cabinet is being briefed on the economic disaster and unprecedented irresponsible fiscal acts of last four years under former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

She said inflation, poverty, unemployment, debt and deficits rose whilst GDP growth decreased during the PTI government. She said Imran Khan’s term in office was marred by corruption.
