‘Flood Communication Cell’ established to monitor flood situation

The government has set up a Flood Communication Cell in Federal Flood Commission to monitor flooding during this Monsoon season.

According to a press release of Federal Flood Commission, the cell will obtain all related information from all concerned departments including Flood Warning Centers set up in the provincial Headquarters.

Any relevant information can be obtained from duty officials of the cell on phone numbers 051-9244621 and 051-9244616. This service is available from 15th of next month to 15th of October this year.

KP Govt announces schedule for summer vacations in all educational institutions

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the schedule for summer vacations in all educational institutions across the province.

According to a notification of Elementary and Secondary Education, the summer vacations will begin from 1st of next month and will continue till 14th August in all schools and colleges of the summer zone.

The vacations in the winter zone will begin from 1st July and will end on 31st of the same month.

Federal govt providing assistance to extinguish fire in Balochistan: NDMA

The federal government is providing all possible assistance to the Balochistan government to extinguish the fire in two districts of the province.

According to the spokesperson of National Disaster Management Authority, Pakistan Army and FC are providing assistance to control the fire while Pakistan Rangers is also participating in rescue operation.

The spokesman said efforts are being made to control the fire through helicopter and NDMA has provided necessary fire-fighting equipment to the Balochistan government.

He said due to the difficult mountainous area, the rescue teams are facing difficulties in controlling the fire.

PESD Bahawalpur sends 8 ambulances, 9 water bowsers for Cholistan

Punjab Emergency Services Department (PESD) Bahawalpur has sent eight ambulances and nine water bowsers along with fifty-seven Rescuers for Cholistan.

According to District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Bahawalpur, Baqir Hussain six rescue posts have been established in the drought hit areas which will provide first aid and awareness about heat wave to the people of Cholistan.
