Planning Minister Stresses need to develop roadmap to end evasion culture 

Islamabad, February 04, 2023 (PPI-OT):Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the need to broaden the tax net and develop a roadmap to end the culture of tax evasion in country. Addressing a ceremony relating to country’s economy in Lahore on Saturday, he stressed the need for devising a robust mechanism to reduce the unnecessary expenditures and enhance the tax revenue in order to provide strong base to country’s economy.

Calling upon the need to end the circular debt of the country, the Minister termed increase in the exports as inevitable to rejuvenate the economy. Ahsan Iqbal called upon the need to adopt viable Industrial policy and develop a value chain in order to make production of country useful.

India cannot suppress voice of Kashmiris for right of self-determination: Baligh

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman says Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiri brethren until they get their right to self-determination.

Addressing the Kashmir Solidarity ceremony at Alhamra in Lahore on Sunday, he said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan as stated by the Quid-e-Azam.

He urged United Nations, Human Rights Organizations to take notice of atrocities in IIOJK. He said India cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiris for the right of self determination.

He also led a Kashmir Solidarity rally.

Maryam Nawaz expresses resolve to win upcoming elections with thumping majority

Senior President and Chief Organizer of PML N Maryam Nawaz says PML-N will contest the coming elections with hard work and full force.

Addressing Party Workers Convention in Multan on Sunday, she said the party has started election preparations and will emerge as victorious in the elections overwhelmingly.

She said that people are worried due to hike in prices of commodities the government we will overcome inflation through consistent policies.

Maryam Nawaz said PML N and its leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in its three tenures put the country on the path of development and prosperity.

Expressing solidarity with Kashmiris, she said that we are standing firm with Kashmiri brothern, and extending them full support.

Addressing the convention, Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah said PML N is not afraid of election of Punjab Assembly. He said the party will contest the election and win it.

He said next general elections will be important for country’s future so public should support his party.

India cannot succeed in its efforts to suppress Kashmir freedom struggle: Kaira

A rally was held from Foreign Office to Parliament House in Islamabad to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren on Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The rally was led by Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed and Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.

A large number of students, Kashmiris and people from all walks of life participated in the rally.

They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against illegal occupation of Kashmir by India and in support of Kashmiris.

Speaking on the Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed said Pakistan is always with the Kashmiris and will remain so.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has urged the international community to play its role in resolving Kashmir issue. Addressing a rally in Islamabad, he said India is using different tactics to suppress freedom struggle of Kashmiris but it will not succeed in its agenda.

Masood calls for harnessing diplomacy to resolve Kashmir issue

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan has called for harnessing diplomacy to resolve Kashmir issue.

In an interview with a leading US magazine, he said Kashmir is becoming a blind spot of international community. He said the current state of affairs in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is abysmal.

He said India is committing worst human rights violations in the occupied valley. He said there are no civil liberties or fundamental freedoms in IIOJK and entire territory is being ruled by fear and intimidation.

To a question regarding Pakistan’s willingness to talk, Masood Khan said Pakistan and Kashmiris are always ready to talk. He, however, reiterated that for any meaningful and result-oriented talk, India must hold in abeyance its illegal and unilateral actions that were taken on August 2019 in IIOJK.

The Ambassador said the two sides must demonstrate statesmanship and move towards a ‘Brave New World’. “Brave New World” where we work for connectivity; we work for peace and security and prosperity for all the South Asians.

Raziyah Sultana expresses grave concern over persecution of children in IIOJK

Daughter of Hurriyat Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, Raziyah Sultana, has expressed her strong resentment over persecution of children in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the hands of occupying forces.

In an exclusive podcast with Radio Pakistan, she regretted that the Kashmiri children are not being allowed to get education while pellet guns are also being used against them and their parents.

Raziyah Sultana said it is the mission of her life to protect the Kashmiri children and send them to schools. For this, she sought the support of Pakistani children.

Putting up a brave face, Raziyah Sultana emphatically stated that she is not scared of Modi. Rather, she said that Modi and India are scared of his father Yasin Malik and that is why he has been incarcerated.

Raziyah Sultana said those languishing in jails in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have committed no crime, but their struggle for right to self-determination is peaceful.

She said killing of innocent Muslims is a crime and this must come to an end.

Raziyah Sultana also urged the world community including the United Nations to save the Kashmiri people from the cruel clutches of Modi, who want to turn Kashmir into mini-India.

She said the Kashmiris should be given the right to self-determination. She was confident that the Kashmiri people will get independence very soon.

The daughter of Hurriyat leader was appreciative of the support extended by Pakistan to the oppressed Kashmiri people saying that Pakistan has always stood by the innocent people, Kashmir will become part of Pakistan.

The ten years old Raziyah Sultana also recalled childhood memories and the time she spent with her father saying that she misses her father Yasin Malik, very much, expressing the confidence that he will return soon. She said four years have passed since she last talked to her father on the telephone.

Raziyah Sultana also paid glowing tributes to the founding father Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah saying that he is the role model for us who spent the whole of his life for the sake of Pakistan.

J&K dispute will remain key pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy: FM

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called upon India to end its gross human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and reverse its unilateral and illegal actions of 5 August 2019 including demographic changes.

In his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Foreign Minister said India must repeal draconian laws, allow UN-mandated investigations into cases of extrajudicial killings and implement relevant UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Jammu and Kashmir dispute will remain a key pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan is committed to its unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support to the just struggle of our Kashmiri brethren for their right of self-determination.

In a tweet today, he said right of self-determination for Kashmiris is enshrined in the UN Charter and UN resolutions.

India using different tactics to suppress freedom struggle of Kashmiris: Advisor to PM

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has urged the international community to play its role in resolving Kashmir issue.

Addressing a rally in Islamabad today, he said purpose of celebrating Kashmir Solidarity Day is to shake the conscience of international community.

Reiterating government’s resolve to support Kashmiris, Qamar Zaman Kaira said all walks of life in Pakistan support just demand of Kashmiris for right to self-determination.

He said India is using different tactics to suppress freedom struggle of Kashmiris but it will not succeed in its agenda.

Speaking on the occasion, senior leader All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter Ghulam Muhammad Safi thanked Pakistan and its people for supporting Kashmiris in their struggle of freedom.
