According to Radio Pakistan, Taufiq Riffat's first poetry collection was titled "Arrival Of The Monsoon." He was also noted for his translations of the poetry of Baba Bulley Shah and Qadir Yar into English, bridging cultural and linguistic gaps through his work. In recognition of his literary contributions, the Pakistan Academy of Letters awarded him the Prime Minister's Literary Award in 1998 for his poetry collection "A Selection."
