Qaim presides pre-budget Sindh cabinet Meeting
Karachi, June 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today presided the Pre-budget Sindh Cabinet meeting held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Banquet Hall, C.M House Karachi.
Speaking on occasion, the Chief Minister Sindh said that it is an important and historical budget which is being presented before Sindh Provincial Assembly. He further said that it is also important occasion that present elected Sindh government is presenting the 5th Annual Budget for the people of Sindh. He added that maximum funds have been allocated for social sector; and education, health and police (law and order) have been given priority.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that there will be purposeful utilization of funds while it will be heavy responsibility of all Ministers to devotedly monitor the follow up, implementation of schemes and utilization of funds.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that efforts have been made to fully provide facilities for the benefit of people and it is our sincere endeavour to come up to the mark and expectations of people. He added that funds for police, road sector and development packages have been enhanced. Later, Sindh Finance Minister presented brief about Sindh budget for the year 2012-13 and highlighted budget outlay of total receipts and expenditure.
Senior Minister Education Pir Mazharl Haq, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Mr. Ayaz Soomro, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, Mr. Rafique Engineer, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, Agha Siraj Durrani, Mr. Shoaib Bukhari, Haji Muzaffar Shujra, Dr. Mohan Lal, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto, Ameer Nawab, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Mr. Raza Haroon presented their views and congratulated the Chief Minister Sindh and Finance Minister for presenting a balanced budget for the people. They also presented some suggestions, recommendations and demands for including in the budget. The Cabinet approved the annual budget for the year 2012-13.
