Islamabad, July 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): We will continue to extend diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Kashmir till the resolution of the core issue in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The Prime Minister said that it had been the policy of government of Pakistan to continue to improve relations with its immediate neighbours such as Afghanistan, Iran, China, India and Sri Lanka and beyond.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan would support reconciliation process which was Afghan-owned and Afghan-led because stable, prosperous and sovereign Afghanistan offered stability and peace in this part of the region and Pakistan would immensely benefit in ways more than one.
The Prime Minister said that elections in the country were not far off and the selection of the chief Election Commissioner based on consensus would ensure fair, free, credible and impartial elections in the country. The Prime Minister said that the PPP believed in coming to power with the support of the people because it firmly believed that the people of Pakistan were the ultimate arbiter and only they had the right to choose their government. The PPP would not allow anyone to deny them the exercise of this sovereign right, the Prime Minister stated.

The Prime Minister said that he was very happy to address the PPP workers in the Neelam valley as the AJ and K Prime Minister and I were proud workers of the PPP who belonged to the middle class. It is my unflinching belief that the workers of middle class were the true asset for a party and indeed of the country because their allegiance was driven by their ideological commitment, adding only such dedicated people could solve the problems of the people, the Prime Minister asserted.
Referring to the state of the economy, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan had become wheat exporting country from a wheat importing country and the godowns were filled with big wheat stocks.
