No one to be allowed to politicise return of Guru’s body: DeM
Srinagar, February 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that no one will be allowed to play politics on demand for return of mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru.
The DeM Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian political parties and pro-India parties in the occupied territory were equally responsible for the execution of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Butt.
She said, “Shedding of tears is nothing but a drama to mislead the people of Kashmir. The long statements issued by these parties and persons are not based on sincerity. For, whether they belonged to ruling party or opposition, they were summoned to Delhi in the first week of February and informed about the government plan of hanging Afzal Guru.”
Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson said it was the fundamental right of Kashmiri people to demand return of Afzal Guru’s body “Some people are blowing the trumpet of sympathy with Kashmiris, but these are the people who have entered the so-called legislative assembly of occupied Kashmir after taking oath on Indian constitution. So we cannot expect anything good from these people,” Aasiya Andrabi maintained.
She also condemned the severe restrictions and curbs on the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in New Delhi and other Hurriyet leaders and activists in the occupied territory.
