Javed Mir condemns crackdown on pro-freedom leaders in IHK
Srinagar, March 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, liberation leader, Javed Ahmed Mir, has strongly condemned the crackdown on pro-freedom leadership and shifting of senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu from Srinagar central jail.
Javed Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the house arrest of the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and continued detention of Hurriyet leaders including Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi and Zahoor Butt.
Javed Ahmad Mir appealed to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon to take notice of the plight of Kashmiris and impress upon the world leaders to come forward and alleviate the sufferings of the people of occupied Kashmir by resolving the long-pending Kashmir dispute.
