Saudi envoy calls on Prime Minister
Islamabad, March 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Prime Minister House this morning.
The Prime Minister while talking to the Saudi Ambassador said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have close brotherly relations which are deeply rooted in historic and Islamic bonds. Both the countries have commonality of views on various issues of regional and global importance, added the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. “These relations would grow even stronger with the passage of time” said that Prime Minister. He said that Khadim Harmain Al Sharfain, King Abdullah has a special place in the hearts of the people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the personal contributions of King Abdullah for supporting Pakistan, especially providing assistance during the unprecedented natural calamities that hit the country in the recent past.
The Ambassador apprised the Prime Minister about various initiatives undertaken by the Saudi Government for the welfare of the Pakistani people. He said that Saudi Arabia would continue to support Pakistan in all its endeavours.
The Prime Minister asked the Ambassador to convey his best regards to King Abdullah. He also mentioned the hospitality extended to him during his two visits to Saudi Arabia.
