Yasin Malik condemns raids on JKLF leaders, activists in IHK
Srinagar, March 30, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned the police crackdown on party leaders and activists. Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, in a statement said, “Repeated crackdown and arrests won’t deter us from the path of struggle and sacrifices.”
Terming the raids and arrests as clear frustration and anti-democratic behaviour of the authorities, the JKLF Chairman said that Indian rulers with the help of their puppets in Kashmir were hell bent upon pushing Kashmiris to the wall.
He said that Indian police had started a full-fledged crackdown against the JKLF. “Many leaders and activists of the party including Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi have been taken into custody,” he deplored.
Yasin Malik said that behaviour of police had exposed the tall claims of democratic rulers of India and their stooges in the territory. He said that Muttahida Majlis-e-Mushawrat (MMM) was a representative forum that was politically and peacefully perusing the cause of freedom.
