Indian police raid houses of Yasin Malik, others in Srinagar
Srinagar, March 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian paramilitary and police personnel raided the house of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik, party headquarters Maqbool Manzil and other houses at Maisuma in Srinagar.
The JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the raids. He said that the continued crackdowns and house to house search operations by the occupation authorities would not deter Kashmiri people from their struggle to achieve freedom from Indian bondage.
He said that the Indian forces cordoned off Maisuma locality and conducted searches in the residence of Yasin Malik and his maternal uncle besides Maqbool Manzil, the headquarters of the JKLF.
The spokesperson, while terming the action as state terrorism, also strongly denounced the continued illegal detention of the JKLF leaders, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and Javed Ahmad Butt.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said that Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was brought to Srinagar court for appearance in a false case registered against him and later he was again lodged at Srinagar central jail.
