Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a Juma congregation in Bijbehara said that the so-called secular and democratic face of India had been exposed to the international community after refusing to return the mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru to their families.

He said: “Execution of Afzal Guru again brought the Kashmir dispute to limelight as the whole Kashmir is protesting and demanding mortal remains of the Kashmiri leaders.

The APHC leader said that the brutal killings, custodial killings, enforced disappearances by the Indian authorities and agencies would not help them to prolong its occupation.

He appealed to the world community to come forward for peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute which was in the interest of South Asia besides Pakistan and India.
