Supreme Court of Pakistan calls report from Secretary ministry of Foreign Affairs in Human Rights Case
Islamabad, July 22 2013 (PPI-OT): The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took Notice on an application of Sara Bantori R/o Karachi registered through Human Rights Cell of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad.
She stated that she got married with the citizen of South Africa and after marriage she gave birth two children and her husband fraudulently taken her both children to South Africa, and filed a custody case in court of Cape Town, South Africa in which it was decided that both applicant and respondent shall remain co guardian and shall share parental responsibilities of said children. Now she stated that she is not in a position to travel all along to South Africa due to paucity of funds and availability of visa. Therefore, she prayed for arrangement of video conference or on phone through Pakistan Embassy at Kape Town .
Taking the cognizance, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan ordered that:
“Secretary M/o Foreign Affairs be directed to arrange Video conference on skype between applicant and her children at South Africa , and submit report to this Court within 15 days, as this is a general problem to a lot of Pakistanis women with similar issue.”
