Waza arrested and lodged at Qazigund police station
Srinagar, August 01 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along party activists was detained by Indian police at Qazigund, today, and was lodged in Police station Qazigund.
A party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was scheduled to visit Gool Ramban to express solidarity with the family members of the civilians fell victim to the barbarism of Indian armed forces during protest demonstration against the desecration act by the BSF personnel in Gool on July 18.
The spokesman said that the APHC leader was also scheduled to visit the areas of Doda and Kishtwar districts where Village Defence Committee members under the cover of Indian armed forces have lashed a reign of terror through committing heinous crimes including killing, abduction and rape.
