Zafar, Javed lead anti-India protest demonstration in Kulgam
Srinagar, August 02 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people held an anti-India protest demonstration in Kulgam to mark Juma-tul-Wida as Kashmir and Al-Quds Day, today.
APHC leaders, Zafar Akbar Butt and Javed Ahmad Mir led the demonstration in which high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised.
Addressing, on the occasion, participants of the demonstration, the leaders expressed solidarity with the families of those who laid their lives for the Kashmir cause. They paid glowing tributes to the martyrs, detained youth and those subjected to enforced disappearances by the Indian armed in interrogation centres, army camps, jails and police stations.
Meanwhile, the JKS Vice Chairman, Tufail Altaf Butt in a statement issued in Islamabad urged world powers including the United States, Britain, European Union and human rights organisations to press India shun policies of oppression and takes steps for settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
