Forceful anti-India demo in Muzaffarabad

Srinagar, August 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): A forceful protest demonstration was held in Muzaffarabad to mark the India’s Independence Day as Black Day.

Thousands of people including Kashmiri migrants took out a march from press club to United Nation Office in the city.

The demonstrators shouted “Stop Indian state terrorism”, “Go India Go”, “Indian forces quite Kashmir”. The march was led by Hurriyet leaders, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Ishtiyaq Hamid, Abdul Majeed Mir, Pervaiz Ahmad Shah, Engineer Mushtaq Mehmood, Abdul Aziz Alvi, Mohammad Sultan and Raja Aslam.

Speaker on the occasion said that the Kashmir dispute had international dimensions and India was the main impediment in way of its permanent resolution.

The leaders also handed over a memorandum to the United Nations Observers Group, urging the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon to put an immediate end to the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and the violation of ceasefire by Indian troops on the Line of Control. They said that people of Kashmir should be given their right of self-determination.
